HEBRON, March 15, 2012 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers manning a checkpoint at Shuhada street, in the old city of Hebron, Thursday arrested a 28-year-old Palestinian woman when she tried to cross the checkpoint with her three-year-old child claiming she tried to attack the soldiers, according to local sources.
They said the mother, Inas Ghanim, had to give her baby to one of her neighbors who happened to be passing by the checkpoint at the time.
She was taken to a police station in a nearby settlement.
Soldiers normally harass Palestinians at the checkpoints around Hebron’s old city, forcing confrontations with them.
