AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– Many areas in northern al-Khalil and towns of Beit Awwa, Deir Samit and Majd to the west of the district witnessed an intensive occupation military deployment and storming of several houses.

The Zionist military forces have arrested, on Friday morning, a Palestinian child aged 16 years in the old town in al-Khalil in the southern West Bank.

Palestinian security sources have confirmed that the occupation forces arrested the child Thaer Nabil Ghannam, 16 years, from the old town in al-Khalil and took him to an unknown destination.

Meanwhile, Palestinian youth, on Friday, hurled stones and empty bottles on Israeli vehicles and the military tower at the entrance of Aroub refugee camp in northern al-Khalil, while occupation soldiers stepped up security measures at the neighboring village Beit Ummar’s entrance.

Witnesses informed the PIC that Palestinian youth threw stones and empty bottles at the main street adjacent to the camp, through which settlers’ vehicles and military patrols were passing, and no casualties were reported, while a large number of soldiers rushed immediately to the scene.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation has stepped up security measures at military roadblocks on the main entrance of the Beit Ummar town before Friday prayers to prevent popular marches against the Apartheid Wall and the settlements.
