OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– A delegation of the foreign solidarity activists participating in the “Welcome to Palestine” campaign visited Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday.
The delegates made field visits to a number of suburbs and listened to testimonies of inhabitants about the Israeli occupation authority’s practices against them.
The inhabitants explained how the IOA plans to raze the entire Bustan suburb to build a Talmudic park in its place. They also briefed the delegates on the IOA digging of tunnels underneath their homes and the confiscation of houses.
The foreign activists said that they would continue supporting the Palestinian people in their bid for establishing their own state and would continue visits to the Palestinian land regardless of the Israeli harassment.
