Quds institution warns of serious Israeli intent to control Aqsa Mosque

BEIRUT, (PIC)– The international Quds institution warned of serious Israeli tendencies to seize and divide the Aqsa Mosque starting with declaring the Mosque’s courtyards public places.

The Aqsa institution said on Friday that the Israeli intent to turn the Mosque’s courtyards into public places was essential part of its Jerusalem master plan 2020 (a scheme to Judaize the holy city) that was made by Yoram Zamosh.

It was also part of the electoral campaign of head of the Israeli municipal council in Jerusalem Nir Barkat, while former premier Ariel Sharon had called for making the Mosque’s courtyards public gardens during his provocative visit to the Aqsa Mosque in 2000, the international institution added.

It affirmed that the greater part of the Aqsa Mosque would be under the Israeli municipal council’s control if its courtyards were really turned into public places, warning that these public places would be changed later into a Jewish worship area before demolishing the Mosque to build the alleged temple of Solomon in its place.

It pointed out that the Israeli regime wants to repeat the plan it had used to control the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil which ended successfully in converting most of the Mosque into a synagogue.
