#GazaUnderAttack | Nov 27, 2013 | Full List of 287 Documented Israeli Cease Fire Violations – Updated

Latest update: Nov 26, 2013 by occpal

Continuously updated

The overview below, only mentions attacks linked to media /HR- press releases and reports. World’s MSM stays silent and slams mum as Israel keeps violating the cease fire agreement relentlessly.

Although several NGO’s, human rights organisations condemned, the by local media documented attacks largely are being ignored by main stream news. (As usual)

Per report of Jan 28, 2013, health officials said there have been over 90 attacks since the cease fire (Reported by PRESSTV)

The overview below only contains attacks which could be linked to reported in media or written reports from Gaza. Violations occurred, may be added later, for not all attacks are covered immediately or not at all by media.  Media not always covers separate incidents in a short while or on the same day as separate events, but as a single  attack.

Aside from the wounded and killed in the related period, it is very important to reiterate again and again, one should not only behold the ‘body-count’ as Israel wants you to do. The policies, deployed by Israeli gov’t kill many more people than any ammunition does. The silenced genocide, by proxy. Most people do not even have the slightest idea of the MAGNITUDE of the genocide on Palestine

Mock raids may not kill physically, yet they traumatize children for life and cause severe post traumatic stress disorder with no real treatment nor circumstances available to be ‘cured’ while aggressions go on. This world needs to act. Against direct violence, indirect violence or deprivation causing genocide by proxy by Israeli policies!

GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — Israeli gunboats opened fire on Palestinian fishermen in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday, locals said.

Witnesses told Ma’an that Israeli navy forces fired shells at fishermen off Gaza’s coast.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said a fishing boat had “deviated from the designated fishing area and an IDF boat fired warning shots in the air.”

The boat then returned to the designated area, she added.

In May, the Israeli government re-extended Gaza’s fishing zone to six miles, after reducing it in March following a rocket attack from the coastal territory.

The zone had been extended to six miles as part of an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire that ended an eight-day conflict between Israel and Hamas in November.

In the Oslo Accords, Israel agreed to a 20-nautical-mile fishing zone off Gaza’s coast but it imposed a 3-mile limit for several years, opening fire at fishermen who strayed further.

Israel has controlled Gaza waters since its occupation of the area in 1967, and has kept several warships stationed off the coast since 2008.

The sources added that the army did not mention anything about whether the Palestinians carried any weapons or explosives, an issue that indicates they might have been trying to enter Israeli territory searching for work.

Israeli Ynet News has reported that the army initiated an investigation into the incident, under the assumption that the two “might have been trying to plant an explosive in the area”. After searching the area, the army could not locate any explosives or weapons.

Palestinian sources in Beit Hanoun, in northern Gaza, stated that the soldiers fired a number of shells into a land east of the town, and fired several flares, while a military chopper hovered overhead.

The clashes occurred as Israel released about two dozen Palestinian prisoners it had held for over two decades.

Israel is holding more than 4,700 Palestinians in prisons, many of them without charge or trial.

On Tuesday, Israel released only 26 Palestinian prisoners as the first group of some 104 long-term detainees who are set to be freed in several stages.

Eleven of the 26 prisoners arrived in the occupied West Bank and were welcomed by acting Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas. Fifteen other prisoners arrived at the besieged Gaza Strip through the Erez crossing.

Palestinan Fishermen - File PalfinoTuesday evening [August 13, 2013] Palestinian medical sources have reported that three fishermen have been detained, and violently attacked by Israeli soldiers, in Palestinian territorial waters, resulting in moderate injuries.

Ashfar Al-Qodra, spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, stated that the soldiers kidnapped the three fishermen, and violently assaulted them, before releasing them later on.

He added that the three, identified as Khader Marwan Sa’eedy, Mohammad Jamal No’man, and Hasan Ali Morad, were moved to the Shifa Medical Center in Gaza, suffering moderate injuries.

The attack is the latest of a series of ongoing violations against the Palestinian fishermen, and their boats, in Palestinian water in the coastal region, dozens of casualties and arrests have been reported.

When Israel imposed the illegal siege on Gaza in 2006, the fishermen were limited to only three nautical miles off the Gaza shore.

Yet, the fishermen and their boats are constantly attacked even within those three miles leading to dozens of casualties, and excessive property damage.

As part of the ceasefire agreement of November 2012, Israel agreed to allow the Palestinians to fish within six nautical miles of the shore, but unilaterally decreased the allotted area to three miles.

Last May, Israel decided to allow the fishermen to fish within six nautical miles of the Gaza shore, but the Navy continued to attack them even within the three nautical miles.

Under the Oslo accords in the mid-nineties, the Palestinians are supposed to be allowed to fish in 20 nautical miles off the Gaza shore.

Israeli troops shoot Gaza Farmer

Israeli troops (file photo)The apartheid regime of Israel imposed land, aerial, and naval blockade on the Gaza Strip in June 2007 after the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, took over the administration of the territory.

Israeli troops have shot and injured an unarmed Palestinian farmer in the Gaza Strip, according to Palestinian and Israeli sources.

Palestinian medical personnel said the farmer sustained moderate injuries in the incident that occurred on Sunday near the apartheid fence in northern Gaza.

An Israeli army spokesman also confirmed the shooting, saying, “A group of Palestinians approached the security fence in the northern (Gaza) Strip, and began sabotaging it while hurling rocks at the (Israeli) soldiers.”

He added that one Israeli soldier fired at the legs of a Palestinian man.

On Saturday, Israeli forces shot dead an unarmed Palestinian man on the Gaza’s border.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said that the man was killed after he climbed over the separation fence.

The Israeli official claimed that the man was carrying a suspicious item that the troops could not see clearly.

The spokeswoman did not clarify what the man was carrying when he was shot by Israeli troops, but another military source said the man was not carrying any weapons.

The apartheid regime of Israel imposed land, aerial, and naval blockade on the Gaza Strip in June 2007 after the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, took over the administration of the territory.

The blockade has had a disastrous impact on the humanitarian and economic situation in the impoverished enclave, having turned the territory into the world’s largest open-air prison.

UN Humanitarian Coordinator James W. Rawley said on April 10 that a new round of Israeli restrictions on the Gaza Strip is impacting food supplies and would have “serious” effects if continued.

Gaza ( DRAH.ps) – Several Israeli army bulldozers and vehicles entered the border area in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, locals said.

Locals said four bulldozers entered the Gaza border area from the Kissufim military site near al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis.

The bulldozers drove into Palestinian fields but gunshots were not heard in the area.

Residents said local farmers often fear they are at risk of being hit by stray bullets.

The Israeli army operates a no-go zone between the border, which mostly encompasses agricultural land. The army regularly enters the area for it calls “routine” activity.

According to the Palestinian Center for Human Rights, approximately 27,000 dunums of land can only be accessed under high personal risk, as Israeli attacks may result in injury or death of civilians.

Approximately 30% of Gaza’s agricultural land cannot be worked without severe personal risk, causing the loss of livelihoods.

In 2010, 14 Palestinians were killed in the buffer zone and 50 were injured, the PCHR reports.

Furthermore, three shells were fired into the Hof Ashkelon area; the Iron Dome system intercepted two more missiles while the third landed in an open area.

In addition, the Hamas-led government in the Gaza Strip vacated its buildings fearing additional Israeli violations.

Haaretz said that Israeli Defense Minister, Moshe Ya’alon, ordered the closure of the Karem Abu Salem (Kerem Shalom) trade terminal, and the Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing.

The latest escalation comes amidst tension between the Islamic Jihad and the Hamas movements following death of one of the leaders of the Al-Quds brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad.

The fighter was shot and billed by Palestinian Police fire on Sunday.

91574_345x230[1]GAZA CITY (Ma’an) — Israeli forces detained two fishermen off the coast of the Gaza Strip and confiscated their boat overnight Thursday.

Israeli naval forces detained Khader al-Saeidi and Hassan Murad off the northwestern coast of the enclave, said Mahfouth Kabariti, head of an association for fishermen in Gaza.

The forces also took their boat, Kabariti told Ma’an.

An Israeli military spokeswoman told Ma’an that two fishermen were taken for questioning because they deviated from the designated fishing zone.

Eyewitnesses have reported that the soldiers fired bursts of live ammunition and the fishing boats near the coasts of As-Sudaniya and Beit Lahia. The Israeli attack led to property damage but no casualties.Palestinian fishermen face constant attacks by the Israeli navy despite the fact that they fish in Palestinian waters. They are only allowed to fish within three nautical miles off the Gaza shore due to illegal Israeli restrictions imposed as part of the Israeli siege on Gaza that was enforced starting in 2006.Yet, the fishermen and their boats are constantly attacked within those three miles; dozens of casualties have been reported. As part of the ceasefire agreement of November 2012, Israel agreed to allow the Palestinians to fish within six nautical miles of the shore, but unilaterally decreased the allotted area to three miles.Under the Oslo accords in the mid-nineties, the Palestinians are allowed to fish in 20 nautical miles off the Gaza shore. In 2008, Israel unilaterally reduced the fishing area to only three nautical miles.Approximately 10 days ago, Israel decided to allow Palestinian fishermen to fish within six nautical miles of the Gaza shore, but the Israeli Navy continued to attack them even within the three nautical miles. In media

Farmers are reaping their wheat from the fields adjacent to the border with Israel.

Israeli forces have opened fire on Palestinian farmers working to the east of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip. The incident took place on Thursday morning.Witnesses said that farmers fled from their land due to the severity of the attack by Israeli soldiers stationed at the Kisuffim border crossing. The firing was accompanied by the repositioning of Israeli tanks and other heavily-armoured vehicles in the area. No casualties have been reported.

Farmers are reaping their wheat from the fields adjacent to the border with Israel. They should be able to tend to the crops following the truce agreement reached between Israel and the Hamas-led Palestinian government in Gaza which brought to an end the Israeli offensive against civilians last November. Israel has maintained a unilaterally-declared 300 metre “buffer zone” inside Palestinian territory.

Two days ago, Israeli occupation forces kidnapped two Palestinian workers, one of them a minor, in the Middle Area of the Gaza Strip. Early this month, they shot a Palestinian in northern Gaza, causing him “moderate” injuries.

Repeated Israeli breaches of the truce have led the Palestinian government in Gaza to ask the Egyptians, who brokered the deal, to tell Israel to refrain from its aggressive acts.

According to Israeli Walla website, the Israeli army is preparing to launch Operation Pillar of Defense II against the Gaza Strip in a bid to eliminate Hamas resistance movement.

Israeli tanks and bulldozers have carried out an incursion into northeastern areas of the Gaza Strip, local sources say.

A number of Israeli tanks and bulldozers infiltrated into Palestinian-owned lands in the town of Beit Hanoun on Monday.

The Israeli forces also entered Beit Hanoun last week, razing Palestinian farmlands and forcing the farmers to leave the area.

Israel has carried out a number of incursions into Gaza in the past weeks, including three airstrikes on the southern town of Khan Younis and near the town of Rafah in southern Gaza in late April.

The attacks are in violation of a ceasefire which brought an end to Israel’s eight-day war against Palestinians last November.

According to Israeli Walla website, the Israeli army is preparing to launch Operation Pillar of Defense II against the Gaza Strip in a bid to eliminate Hamas resistance movement.

The Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine has also warned against an imminent Israeli attack against the besieged coastal enclave.

The group’s military wing, Al-Quds Brigades, has been holding military exercises in order to prepare its members for a possible Israeli aggression, the movement said.

Israel launched the so-called Operation Pillar of Defense I against Gaza in November 2012. Over 160 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and about 1,200 others were injured and more than 1,500 targets were hit across the Palestinian enclave during the eight-day war.

In retaliation, Palestinian resistance fighters fired rockets and missiles into Israeli cities, killing at least five Israelis. The offensive ended after Egypt brokered a truce between Hamas and Israel.

According to a Hamas spokesman, Israel’s eight-day aggression against the Gaza Strip caused more than USD 1.2 billion in direct and indirect damages.

UPDATE APRIL 26, 2013 | 150 & 151 & 152nd ISRAELI VIOLATION OF CEASE FIRE

esmaeeli20130426151041497[1]

Israeli navy has fired at Palestinian fishermen in the besieged Gaza Strip, violating terms of an Egyptian-brokered ceasefire with the Palestinian territory, Press TV reports.

According to Press TV correspondent in Gaza, Ashraf Shannon, no one was injured in the shooting on Friday, but a number of boats were damaged.

The Israeli navy has restricted fishing for Gaza fishermen and allows them to catch fish only within three miles from the coast.

Gazans are also not allowed to farm in Israeli-declared buffer zone, within 1,500 meters of the border, and this according to UN estimates, has led to a loss in production of about 75,000 tones of produce a year.

Israeli troops have shot scores of Palestinian farmers inside Gaza since November 2012 when Tel Aviv signed a truce with Hamas, the democratically-elected government of Gaza.

Over 160 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed and about 1,200 others were injured in the Israeli attacks on Gaza between November 14 and 21 and more than 1,500 targets were hit across the Palestinian enclave.

In retaliation, Palestinian resistance fighters fired rockets and missiles into Israeli cities, killing at least five Israelis.

According to a Hamas spokesman, Israel’s eight-day aggression against the Gaza Strip caused more than USD1.2 billion in direct and indirect damages.

Israeli gunboat attacked some Palestinian fishing vessels.

An Israeli gunboat attacked some Palestinian fishing vessels off the north coast of Gaza just after 8am local time today. According to MEMO’s Ibrahim Hewitt, who witnessed the attack from the Gaza shore, the Palestinian fishermen looked to be well within the Israeli-imposed 6 mile limit. International law recognises a 12-mile limit of territorial water around the world.”I heard the firing when I opened the window this morning,” said Hewitt, who is visiting Gaza with a small delegation of British MPs in his role as chair of the charity Interpal.

“As I watched, the drama unfold, I could see the sea being churned up by the gunfire from the Israeli boat.” It didn’t appear to hit the fishing boats. The two small Palestinian vessels were then seen to move south, away from the gunboat, which then turned away and returned to its holding position off the coast of Ashkelon.

No casualties have been reported at the time of writing.

603107_544491475561161_1887976171_nIsraeli Occupation Forces fire at Palestinians in Jabalia killed a man and wounding another

The martyr is the 19 years old Muhammad Al-Mamlouk.

ISM Palestine reports:

The fragile ceasefire announced on 21st November, following Israel’s eight-day offensive on Gaza, was yet again violated by the Israeli military today after a fatal attack on a group of Palestinian civilians east of Jabalia. 19 year-old Anwar Al-Malouk, a law student from the Shajaia district of Gaza City was shot dead and 21 year-old Omar Wadi from the Jabalia refugee camp, north of Gaza City, was injured as he came to Anwar’s aid.

Omar Wadi (21) sitting in his house in Jabalia refugee camp, still recoverig from wounds in both legs after being shot by Israeli soldiers on January 11th 2012, while he was in the "Buffer Zone". He was injuried by the shrapnel of a hollow-point bullet when he was trying to help Anwar Almalouk (19), who was shot in the stomach. Anwar would later die while being transferred to the hospital.

At about 2.30pm on 11th January, Omar was in a local cemetary visiting the graves of friends killed under the occupation. He noticed a group of around 30 Palestinians a few hundred metres away to the east, between the cemetary and the fence marking the eastern border of the Gaza Strip.

From the cemetary, which was over half a kilometre from the border fence, Omar approached the group to investigate the situation. Four Israeli military jeeps were positioned on the other side of the fence and around 12 Israeli soldiers were present, firing tear-gas canisters towards the group of Palestinians.

At this point, the group was at a distance of approximately 100 metres from the fence but then fled a further 100 metres back, amid the tear-gas attack. By around 4pm, Anwar had been separated from the group and remained alone about 40 metres from the fence, when he was shot by the soldiers and fell.

Three of the group, including Omar, went back to assist Anwar. Omar says he acted instinctively at the sight of a fellow Palestinian in danger and didn’t consider his own safety – despite not having previously known Anwar. As he arrived to where Anwar lay, he was hit in both legs by shrapnel from a hollow-tip bullet which exploded on impact with the ground nearby and showered metal fragments in his direction.

The two others managed to evacuate Omar and Anwar from the scene to safety but Anwar had sustained a serious gunshot wound to his abdomen and died en route to hospital. Anwar had to be driven from the area to the main road in a toc-toc, where he was then transferred to an ambulance. Unfortunately, by this time he had already passed away in the toc-toc.

At Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia, Omar was treated for ankle injuries. He has since been released but the shrapnel remains embedded in his bones. As an outpatient of the osteological department, he must return next week for assessment regarding the possibility of surgery to remove the shrapnel. It is understandable that Omar was terrified during the attack. He has been traumatised by the experience and has not been able to sleep due to reliving the memory of it.

An X-ray showing the piece of shrapnel embedded in Omar´s leg (white spot).

Omar has two brothers and six sisters. His 18 year-old brother, Mohammed, was seriously injured during an Israeli incursion in the east of Jabalia five years ago when he was only 13 years old. Mohammed underwent treatment in Egypt for four months and is still receiving treatment in Gaza to this day. (Photo on the right: An X-ray showing the piece of shrapnel embedded in Omar´s leg (white spot).

The young mens’ father expressed concern about Omar ever visiting the cemetary again, whilst their mother said she feared one day all her sons would be killed. The Wadi family yearn for a genuine ceasefire yet anticipated from the outset that Israel would never respect it. Omar’s principal hope is that Israel’s crimes against Palestinians will end.

Anwar was the youngest son of the Al-Malouk family and the only one still living at home due to his older brothers being married. His 55 year-old mother hopes he is now at peace.

The first Palestinian killed after the ceasefire announcement was also named Anwar. On 23rd November, just two days into the agreement, Anwar Qudieh was shot dead, this time in the rural area of Abassan, east of Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip.

There have been numerous Israeli attacks against Palestinian civilians in Gaza during the ceasefire. One can only imagine the response had it been the other way around.

UPDATE NOV 22, 2012 | 1st & 2nd Israeli Violation of Truce

Israeli forces also shot and injured a Palestinian man east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip late Thursday after he approached a fence on the border, medics said. Haitham Abu Daqqa, 23 years old, had approached the fence with a group of people carrying flags and celebrating the end of the conflict as Palestinians rallied for a second day.

Kindly notice that Israel marking the incident yesterday as a ‘riot’ yet shoots with live ammunition constitutes a flagrant violation of law.

Martyred By Israeli Occupation Attacks

انّا للہ و انّا الیه راجعون

May Allah Subhana wa Ta’ ala grant the Shuhada Jannatul Firdaus, and ease it for their families, loved ones and anyone around them. Allahumma Ameen ya Rabbil Alameen. ‘ Inna Lillahi wa ‘ Inna ‘ Ilayhi Raji’un, Allahu Akbar

ஜ۩۞۩ஜ

* The list of shuhada does not display, the numerous victims of the zionist occupation which are undocumented by media. Nor it displays the victims of the “silent onslaught” due to restrictions of movement, ability to go to hospitals for treatment or life saving surgery, due to lack of medication because of the blockades and so on. For example: The Slow Motion Genocide by the Siege on Gaza only, killed 600 patients since Gaza got under Israeli Siege.

For an overview of All Israeli Massacres Palestinians go here

Neither does this list, display the avoidable mortality. A clear and statistical factual evidence, about the number of deaths due to indecent ruling by occupation forces. For even an occupier has obligations under International Laws, Geneva Convention and the Hague regulations, which it is neglecting. These circumstances, together with deliberate policies of the occupier to neglect and even deny every basic human right, severes avoidable mortality which is totally silenced by media or reporting organisations. While in the Holocaust, 1 on 6 Jewish people directly died of deliberate neglect, so if we believe the facts over 1 million due to avoidable mortality, neither should these same circumstances be ignores which are ongoing in Palestine. For this report displays a avoidable morality of at least 0,5 million Palestinians.

How many more dead corpses of Palestinians does the international community need to see in order to act? How many more cruelties and violations of Human Rights, Regulations and International Law will be needed to intervene so this ongoing warcrime is being stopped once and for all.
