Israeli military units break into the Negev prison

RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Israeli special military units stormed the Negev desert prison for the fifth consecutive time over the past ten days, and attacked the Palestinian prisoners.

Palestine Prisoners Center for Studies said in a press statement on Saturday that the military forces have raided, late Friday night, Section 8 in the Negev prison and launched search campaigns in the rooms of prisoners.

The center pointed out that the Israeli forces closed the section and isolated it from the rest of the prison’s sections. They also transferred the administrative detainee Shadi Shehadeh, 27, to solitary confinement under false pretenses.

The Israeli occupation forces had carried out, during the past few days, four previous break-ins in the Negev prison, two of which targeted Section 8 and resulted in transferring three of its prisoners to solitary confinement and confiscating the prisoners’ electric appliances.
