Bakirat calls for Islamic action to stop the Israeli violations against al-Aqsa

CAIRO, (PIC)– Dr. Najeh Bakirat, Director of the Al-Aqsa Mosque department, condemned MK Moshe Feiglin’s visit to al-Aqsa Mosque, stressing that the Jerusalemites defend the mosque by themselves without any Arab or Muslim support.

Bakirat stated to PIC that the Islamic summit, launched in Cairo on Wednesday, has to discuss the permanent and ongoing Israeli violations against al-Aqsa Mosque, and to take concrete steps to stop the desecration of all the holy sites.

He called on the Arab League also to support and protect Jerusalem and its identity and people who are considered the bulwark in the defense of al-Aqsa mosque and sanctities.”

He warned against the Israeli schemes against Al-Aqsa mosque, calling for confronting the Israeli Judaization process in the city of Jerusalem.

The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Dr. Nabil Elaraby has received Sheikh Bakirat at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, where they shed light on the Israeli violation against the holy city of Jerusalem.

For his part, Dr Yusuf Juma Salama, a preacher at al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, denounced the Israeli schemes to demolish houses at Al-fahidat neighborhood east of the town of Anata, northeast of Jerusalem, stressing that the occupation authorities are implementing a large plot to Judaize the holy city.

Sheikh Salama, First Deputy of the Chairman of the Supreme Islamic Council in Jerusalem, denounced the Israeli film propagating the idea of razing the Aqsa Mosque and building the alleged Jewish temple in its place.

He warned against the Israeli continued raids into Al-Aqsa Mosque, where hundreds of Israeli soldiers broke into al-Aqsa Mosque, in addition to MK Moshe Feiglin.

He appealed to all local and international human rights organizations and humanitarian institutions to intervene to halt the Israeli attacks against Islamic monuments and sanctities.

He also called on Arab and Islamic nations to work for the liberation of Al Aqsa Mosque.
