JENIN (Ma’an) — A group of settlers performed religious rituals in an evacuated settlement near Jenin on Saturday, locals said.
Witnesses told Ma’an that a heavy Israeli army presence accompanied the group to visit Homesh settlement, which was evacuated in 2005 as part of Israel’s unilateral disengagement plan.
Settlers regularly return to the site and try to re-establish the settlement, locals say, with some attacking Palestinian vehicles and homes.
