OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Sheikh Kamal Al-Khatib, the deputy head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied lands, expressed his great concerns over the concessions which the Palestinian Authority (PA) intends to make on the occupied city of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.

In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC) on Friday, Sheikh Khatib said that the PA intends to give up parts of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque and turns a deaf ear to any advice and appeal calling on it to withdraw from its talks with the Israeli occupation state.

He warned of the Israeli settlers’ declared threats to escalate their attacks on the Palestinian people, their homes, and their holy sites and demanded the PA to stop immediately its talks with the Israeli government.

In a separate incident related to occupied Jerusalem, Palestinian minister of religious affairs Taleb Abu Sha’ar said that dozens of settlers under military protection on Thursday desecrated the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards at the pretext of their religious holidays.

In a press release, Abu Sha’ar added that the Israeli police imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers to the Mosque to prevent them from repelling the settlers.

The minister affirmed that the entry of settlers to the Mosque on a daily basis entails an Arab and Muslim uprising to curb Israeli plans to Judaize the holy city and its Islamic holy sites.

He noted that the neighborhoods and towns of Jerusalem have been witnessing for one week and half confrontations between the Palestinian natives on the one hand and Israeli troops and settlers on the other hand.

The clashes led to the death of two young men and one child and the injury of dozens, while more than 40 Jerusalemites were kidnapped.
