GAZA, (PIC)– Senior Hamas official and lawmaker Mushir Al-Masri stated that the national reconciliation is an irreversible strategic option for his Movement, but it rejects to let Fatah use it as a cover for its negotiations and security cooperation with Israel.

“We are, in Hamas, advocates for unity, and the reconciliation is a slogan Hamas always raises and seeks to translate on the ground through demonstrating sufficient flexibility in order to bring about convergence; we hope to see Fatah sincere in reaching reconciliation and not only use it to save face after it reached a deadlock in its negotiations,” Masri added in a statement on Sunday.

The lawmaker categorically denied that there were differences in the views between Hamas officials at home and abroad, affirming that his Movement has always a united position.

Despite growing reconciliation efforts, the Fatah-controlled Palestinian Authority’s security militias kidnapped 10 Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in the cities of Ramallah, Al-Khalil and Nablus, according to local sources on Sunday.

Many families also reported that their sons are being tortured in PA jails and consequently, some of them are in critical health condition.
