RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Monday kidnapped seven Palestinian citizens during raids on homes in different West Bank areas.

A spokesman for the IOF said that the seven were kidnapped on suspicion of their involvement in activities against Israeli targets.

The Hebrew radio which reported this said nothing about the names and political affiliations of the detainees or the areas they were kidnapped from.

Palestinian eyewitnesses for their part said a young man was kidnapped at an early hour this morning from Fara refugee camp, south of Jenin city, and taken to an unknown destination after a violent raid on his home.

In Al-Khalil city, a large number of Israeli troops stormed after midnight a Palestinian house in the valley of Hariya and forced the residents outdoors.

After checking the IDs of all members of the family, the troops interrogated one of them called Ra’ed Al-Sherorf, especially about his job as an announcer of radio programs for Minbar Al-Huriya station. Later he was handcuffed, blindfolded and taken to an unknown destination.

In separate incidents, dozens of savage Israeli settlers from Yitzhar settlement, south of Nablus city, on Sunday evening threw stones at Palestinian cars traveling on a main road near Hawara town.

Local sources said that a number of cars sustained damage including one owned by Dawoud Abu Shehadeh from Hawara town and one Palestinian citizen suffered medium fragment injuries in his neck.

The IOF troops on Sunday handed three Palestinian citizens demolition orders against structures and tents they use as homes and stores in the area of Wad Juhaish, east of Yatta town in Al-Khalil city.

They also raided homes in Yatta town and handed two Palestinian citizens summonses to meet the Israeli intelligence.
