Palestinian sources reported Wednesday morning that clashes took place between Palestinian fighters and Israeli soldiers near the Kissufim Israeli military post, east of Khan Younis, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The sources added that four tanks and two military bulldozers invaded an area close to Al Qarara, east of Khan Younis, and exchanged fire with resistance fighters. Soldiers reportedly fired several shells and a surface-to-surface missile.
Medical sources in Khan Younis reported no injuries until the time of this report.
Also on Wednesday, a 65-year-old man was wounded by a live round fired by Israeli soldiers stationed near the Sofa Crossing, east of Rafah, in the southern part of the Gaza Strip.
The incident took place after the army opened fire at several Palestinian homes located close to the Sofa terminal between Khan Younis and Rafah.
On Tuesday evening, several armored Israeli vehicles invaded an area in Al Qarara town, north of Khan Younis.
