RAMALLAH, (PIC)– A group of Fatah officials came out of the dark to report the involvement of Palestinian Authority security members in the assassination of Mohammed Al-Namnam, who was gunned down by Israeli warplanes two weeks back.

The sources said officers working as agents for the PA preventative security and intelligence were commissioned by Israel to gather information about Namnam in Gaza.

They added that they will soon reveal the names of those involved in the hits against Samman and Al-Yassin, who were slain in the West Bank city of Qalqalia.

The Fatah officers said key American intelligence (CIA) officials made visits to intelligence and preventative security headquarters in the West Bank, adding that security coordination was being made between the PA and Israeli government under instructions by the US West Bank general Keith Dayton and his successor Michael Mueller.

They added that top CIA officers held Palestinian-Israeli security courses in Israel, the US, and Jordan for top PA security officers.

Israeli Chief of Staff military Gaby Ashkenazi visited Bethlehem and met with a number of PA intelligence leaders in the area to reach an agreement to form a joint security unit aimed at frustrating Palestinian resistance movements under an alleged fight against terrorism.

An agreement to trade security information was also reached between the two sides during a visit by Israeli security to Qalqalia attended by PA intelligence chief Ihsan Al-Nazir.

Al-Khalil intelligence director Khalid Abu Al-Yemen partnered with officers from the special Israeli Duvdevan unit in the murder of Khalid Abu Kheiran and Ahmed Samara in 2002.

The Fatah officials also reported that other intelligence officials used cars belonging to preventative security to follow the movements of Al-Natsha and Al-Karmi to offer free information to Israel which led to their murder.

Other Fatah agents were involved in providing information to Israel that led to the bombing of several residential homes in Gaza.

In a separate development, several charity organizations gave reports that elements from the Fatah party stuck their fingers in the distribution of meat in the West Bank during the Islamic sacrifice celebrations (Eid Al-Adha) this week.

“Regional secretaries and senior Fatah leaders were standing at the doors of the slaughterhouses to ensure full control over the distribution of meat in their own special way,” one charity worker said.

Charity organizations in the West Bank are required to distribute the meat through the government offices and are banned from choosing the beneficiaries by themselves .

“A number of complaints from citizens and organizations have reached us about the poor distribution and theft that happens to the aid and meat distributed through the governor offices or committees formed by the Fatah party.”

“We know well about the exploitations, but we are forced to deal with them.”
