ISTANBUL, (PIC)– Recep Tayyep Erdogan, the Turkish Prime Minister, has urged Tuesday the Zionist entity to lift the five-year old siege on Gaza, reiterating his governments conditions on Israel to apologize for the Freedom Flotilla massacre last may.

In his weekly speech before the Turkish Parliament Tuesday, Erdogan insisted that “Israel” should end the blockade on Gaza Strip, and should apologize for killing nine Turkish human right activists on board of the Freedom Flotilla last May.

The activists were part of hundreds of international human rights activists attempting to break the siege on Gaza Strip and to extend a hand of help to 1.6 million Palestinian citizens cordoned there.

Erdogan demanded that Israel must publicly apologize for the massacre, must compensate families of the Turkish victims, and must rescind the siege on Gaza, explaining that Turkey would “review” its position if the Israeli occupation government heeded that those conditions.

Hebrew sources, including that daily Haaretz news paper, revealed that the Zionist entity has agreed, in principle, to apologize and to compensate families of the victims, saying that meetings had been held between Israeli and Turkish officials to discus ways and formula of the apology and the compensation.

However, families of the victims announced they would send any financial compensation they receive from the Zionist entity to families of Palestinian martyrs in the Gaza Strip, urging that international community to prosecute Israeli officials who gave the shoot-to kill orders.
