GAZA, (PIC)– The government of Ismail Haneyya strongly condemned the “terrorist” attack by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip at a late hour on Saturday night that killed five Palestinians.

Taher Al-Nunu, the government spokesman, said in a press release that the crime exposes the IOF “bloody nature” and its disrespect of all international and humanitarian values and norms.

He said the movement asks all concerned international organizations to bridle the IOF crimes against the Palestinian people especially deliberate extra judicial execution of citizens.

The past evasion of justice for previous crimes has encouraged the Israeli leaders to commit more such crimes, which had become a feature of this “bloody, terrorist occupation,” Nunu said in conclusion.
Meanwhile, the armed wing of the popular resistance committees announced responsibility for firing 14 mortar shells at Israeli targets on the borders of the Gaza Strip in retaliation to the murder of the five resistance fighters.
The armed wing said in a communiqué distributed late Sunday night that it would not remain arms folded vis-à-vis IOF series of assassination crimes.
Hebrew daily Yediot Ahronot reported on Monday that the shells slammed into deserted areas and did not cause any casualties or damage.
