OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– A large number of Israeli troops and border guards were deployed in Silwan district on Saturday morning as a prelude to expelling the Jerusalemite family of Abdullah Abu Nab from its home in Battn Al-Hawa neighborhood and bringing Jewish settlers to live in its place.

Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli police kidnapped in the morning a number of Palestinian citizens in Silwan, although no clashes broke out.

The information center of Wadi Hilwa said that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) intends to displace the family of Abu Nab today taking advantage of the Christmas holidays, where western diplomats are on vacation.

In a separate incident, the popular struggle front in Nablus city organized a sit-in in Khirbet Tana area which is threatened with demolition in protest at the Israeli decision to knock down the whole area and erase it from the map.

The protesters expressed their rejection of the Israeli criminal practices against the people of Khirbet Tana and hailed the residents for their steadfastness and refusal to relinquish their land.
