OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– Sheikh Ra’ed Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in 1948 occupied Palestine, on Sunday called on the Jerusalemite deputies threatened by the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) with banishment from their native town.

Sheikh Salah, accompanied by a number of Islamic movement leaders, declared full solidarity with the Jerusalem MPs, hailing their steadfastness in defending the right of residence in the occupied holy city.

The Islamic leader saluted the Jerusalemite MP Mohammed Abu Tir who was exiled from his hometown by the IOA, describing his deportation as a violation of international laws.

The Jerusalemite deputies, for their part, appreciated the visit by Sheikh Salah, saying that it gives them a big morale boost.
