RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Rights groups are demanding that the West Bank-ruling Fatah authority releases the six hunger strikers from its prisons, and have announced plans to prosecute PA security militia leaders.

The groups addressed their “brothers” in the Fatah authority, saying: “The security coordination with Israel must be terminated. It only serves the security of Israel and Jewish settlers in light of the political horizon blockage and failure of negotiations with Israel.”

The rights bodies warned that if the PA continued to coordinate with Israel and take turns at targeting the Palestinian people legal action would be taken.

The statement issued Wednesday condemned moves by Fatah authorities to exile Palestinians from the West Bank, calling the scandal consistent with Israeli policies to rid the land of its indigenous Arab population.

The rights groups saluted the families of the political prisoners in the West Bank, calling on them to demonstrate and raise their voices until their loved ones are soundly released from the PA prisons.

The statement was undersigned by the committee to defend captives in Israeli prisons, the Ahrar foundation to defend captives in Israeli prisons, the Golan prisoners defense committee, and the Sabiroun foundation
