GAZA, (PIC)– Abu Ahmed, spokesman of the Islamic Jihad Movement’s armed wing the Quds Brigades, said resistance factions will recover in the West Bank despite paired persecution from the Palestinian Authority and Israel.

The Quds Brigades lost 12 men in 2010, six of them were bombed by Israeli warplanes and artillery while carrying out resistance operations along the Gaza border, Abu Ahmed said Saturday in a press statement.

Five more were killed in clashes with Israeli special units and military forces which invaded civilian territory along the border areas adjacent to the electric wall, he added.

The brigades killed two Israeli soldiers and injured two others in two separate operations east of the Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, and launched 44 mortar shells at Israeli troops who infiltrated hundreds of meters inside Palestinian soil.

Abu Ahmed noted that the Quds Brigades were unable to strike against aggressive Israeli targets in the West Bank because of the crippling Fatah-Israeli security cooperation.
