GAZA, (PIC)– Hamas MP Dr. Salah Al-Bardawil has described de facto president and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas’s denial of having political detainees in the West Bank as a kind of deception and an attempt evade reconciliation. He told Quds Press on Tuesday that Abbas was using the same term used by the Israeli occupation “saboteurs” when referring to Hamas. The Hamas leader advised Abbas to revise his positions, noting that all factions including Fatah had acknowledged the presence of political detainees. “Abbas’s denial could be only then described as political coma, which we do not accept”, he elaborated. Bardawil said that his movement and Fatah covered major strides in drafting the memo of understanding between them but Hamas was shocked at the “serious escalation” in the political detention in the West Bank. |
