RAMALLAH, (PIC)– A statistics report released by the Palestinian prisoner’s association indicated that around 30% of relatives of Palestinian detainees in the West Bank are deprived of visiting their next of kin held in Israeli jails.

It added that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) cites alleged “security” reasons for the visit deprivation.

The head of the association said in a press release on Wednesday that the deprived relatives are first degree relatives.

He called for pressuring the IOA to allow relatives of first and second degrees to visit the prisoners.
