GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian interior ministry in Gaza Strip has warned that the field conditions and the current calm in Gaza would not continue in the event the Israeli attacks on the Strip persisted.

The ministry earlier announced that it would protect the national consensus in which all Palestinian factions agreed on halting the firing of rockets on 1948 occupied lands.

Ehab Al-Ghussain said in a press release on Saturday that in the event the intermittent Israeli aggression on Gaza persisted then the situation would change because the Palestinian people are entitled to resist their occupiers.

He said that the ministry’s role at the present stage was to protect the Palestinian agreement, boost the people’s steadfastness, and control the field conditions.

Egypt had relayed an Israeli threat to the Palestinian government and Hamas movement in Gaza that it would invade the Strip in the event rockets continued to be fired from it at Israeli targets.
