GAZA, (PIC)– Hamas spokesman in central Gaza Yousef Farhat has denounced the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) for detaining Gazan prisoner Mohammed Bawadi soon after his release.

Farhat described on Wednesday what the IOA had done as “serious” and an addition to the IOA blacklist of violations of human rights.

He urged human rights groups to immediately intervene and save Palestinian prisoners.

Bawadi was released after serving seven years in occupation jails and was supposed to be released on Tuesday but the IOA detained him while en route to Gaza at the pretext that he was an unlawful combatant.

Farhat warned that the detainee under such description is deprived of defending himself before court, is not indicted or charged, and is held in detention without any time limit.
