PA compels West Bankers to go on protests against Al-Jazeera, Qatari Emir

WEST BANK, (PIC)– Security militia men and civil servants from the Palestinian authority (PA) called through loudspeakers of West Bank mosques for going on marches on Thursday to condemn Al-Jazeera satellite channel for disclosing serious papers on PA-Israeli peace talks.

An informed source told the Palestinian information center (PIC) that the participants in these marches were instructed to verbally abuse Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Al Thani and Al-Jazeera channel for revealing leaks on concessions made by the PA to the Israeli side.

The West Bankers working in the government sector were threatened they would be held accountable and punished if they did not participate in the protests.

In a separate incident, the PA security militias in the West Bank kidnapped six Palestinian citizens affiliated with Hamas in the cities of Nablus, Al-Khalil, Salfit and Tubas, according to local sources on Thursday.
