At least 10 Palestinians were injured during a series of raids launched by Israeli aircraft early Wednesday across the Gaza Strip. The spokesman for the Higher Committee of Ambulance and Emergency Services, Adham Abu Salam said eight civilians were slightly injured, including two children and three women and three men after Israeli aircraft targeted a depot of medications east of Gaza City. They were transferred to Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

He said that the Israeli aircraft bombarded the depot, located in the region of Jabal al-Rayes. The building was destructed and was set on fire.

Prior to this raid, Israeli aircraft fired one missile on a vacant land east of the car market in al-Zaytoun neighborhood southeast of Gaza City, without reported injuries.

Israeli aircraft also bombed a site used by Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of Islamic Jihad, west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip. During two separate raids, two Palestinians were wounded and were taken to Nasser Hospital.

The Israeli occupation army said that the raids came in response to the firing of mortar shells at Israeli communities bordering Gaza Strip. Al-Quds Brigades claimed the firing of several mortar shells saying it was in response to a limited incursion, which was carried out by the Israeli army in northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, the “Brigades of Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa,” the armed wing of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, announced it had targeted early Wednesday, an Israeli military jeep east of Gaza. The group said in a statement that its fighters were able to launch a Cobra missile at 6:30 am towards an Israeli jeep .

The announcement said that such an attack “comes within the framework of the natural response to crimes by the occupiers and the resistance of our people.”
