TUBAS, (PIC)– Israeli forces stormed the town of Tamoun south of Tubas arresting one man linked with Hamas amid escalated military activity that swept the West Bank Wednesday morning.

Locals reported ten military vehicles raided the town and surrounded the home of Adam Bani Odeh, a 34-year-old supporter of Hamas, before searching it, tampering with its contents and arresting Odeh.

Residents were also questioned for hours on the ground, locals said.

The same morning, military vehicles raided ten other homes across the West Bank, Israeli media reports.

Three Palestinians were arrested and taken to Shin Bet headquarters for questioning, Israeli Radio said quoting a military spokesman.

Their identities, locations and affiliation were not specified.

In the East Jerusalem district of Sheikh Jarrah, four more were arrested suspected of attacking one of the Jewish settlers who seized property owned by Palestinian citizens in the neighborhood, Israeli Radio added.

Another man was shot and injured by Israeli soldiers during clashes with locals at the south Nablus town of Awarta that sprung after raids aimed to carry out unspecified security activities.

Meanwhile, the army carried out searches in a number of districts in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

They used police dogs to search dormitories near the Al-Najah National University, witnesses said.

Israeli intelligence officers questioned students without report of arrest.
