RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Israeli prison forces stormed the ward 14 in Nafha jail at a late night hour on Saturday and searched all cells while looking for banned mobile phones, the Palestinian prisoner’s association said on Sunday. It added in a statement that the violent search took two hours and ended by midnight then the prison administration slammed penalties on prisoners including banning visits for two months and isolating prisoners along with financial fines. It said that another patrol came on Sunday morning and searched for seven hours while keeping prisoners outside their rooms, adding that all electric appliances were confiscated. Meanwhile, the Israeli Ofer court imposed a six-month administrative detention on Hamas MP Mohammed Al-Natshe, 52, after arresting him on 31/1/2011 during which his home was thoroughly searched. Natshe was released from Israeli custody on 12/9/2010 after eight years and a half of detention, half of which was spent in solitary confinement. Natshe was elected while in captivity as MP for Al-Khalil in the 2006 legislative elections. |
