NABLUS, (PIC)– Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Tuesday kidnapped Hamas leader Sheikh Awadallah Eshtiye from his home in Salem village east of Nablus city, locals reported.

Ibrahim Eshtihe, the brother, said that the soldiers came in a civilian car and took Awadallah from his home before IOF armored vehicles came to the scene and escorted the car. He added that witnesses said that IOF patrols and armored vehicles were seen at the entrance to the village before the raid.

The Sheikh, who is a member of Salem municipal council, was previously held in IOF jails for ten years at separate intervals.

He was also held in Ramallah authority jails for ten months and underwent severe torture rounds before his release a few months ago.

The IOF soldiers rounded up more than ten Palestinians in the West Bank on Tuesday including five from Beit Forik village east of Nablus city.
