RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority refused to allow the return of Palestinians residing in Libya and only allowed 300 of them back to the West Bank out of a total of 70,000 living in that troubled North African Arab country. Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu said during a meeting with his visiting Polish counterpart that he allowed those Palestinians to return on condition they pass “security checks”, which he did not specify. Hussein Al-Sheikh, the head of the so-called general authority for civil affairs in the West Bank, said in a televised interview that the PA had asked a number of Arab and international parties to pressure Israel to allow return of those Palestinians because their lives were in danger there. |
