GAZA, (PIC)– The Palestinian ministry of religious affairs expressed concern about the restrictions imposed by Israel on Palestinian worshipers who want to perform prayers at the Aqsa Mosque and its surrounding yards, especially on Fridays.

The ministry’s committee of Jerusalem underlined in a statement on Friday that such Israeli arbitrary measures are part of the fierce Judaization campaign waged by the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) on the occupied Palestinian city of Jerusalem.

It affirmed that these measures have taken place simultaneously with intensive military attacks on Palestinian natives in Silwan district.

The committee pointed that the IOA deployed Arabized units in the neighborhoods of Silwan, the thing which would augment the tension in the heart of the holy city, especially since those units are mostly composed of the most extremist and malicious Jewish settlers.
