RAMALLAH, (PIC)– Israeli armed guards burst into the cells of Palestinian prisoners held in solitary confinement in Nafha desert jail including Hamas and PFLP leaders, human rights sources said.

The sources told the PIC correspondent on Saturday that a special Israeli unit broke into ward-2, isolation section, in Nafha and burst into the room of Hamas leader Jamal Abul Haija and PFLP leader Ahmed Saadat in addition to the three other prisoners.

The Israeli forces searched the cells for three hours during which the prisoners’ belongings were damaged, the sources said, adding that in response to such savagery Abul Haija and Saadat returned their lunch and supper meals.

Abul Haija has one of his two arms amputated and suffers from weakness due to worsening health conditions while Saadat suffers from pain in the back and neck and is in need of cartilage surgery.
