Gaza – PNN – The Israeli Air Force carried out a number of air strikes at dawn on Sunday targeting a number of areas in central Gaza Strip; damage was reported but no injuries.

F16 fighter jets fired missiles on lands in al Zeiytoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, nearby homes sustained damage, local sources reported.

Air raids also targeted a number of construction buildings which belongs to the Islamic University of Gaza City, the building site used to be the Israeli settlement of Netzarim which was evacuated during the Israeli disengagement plan of 2005.

Another air raid targeted a farm land close to Gaza City, damage was reported to surrounding property.

The Israeli Radio announced that today’s attacks come in response to two home-made shells fired from Gaza into the western Negev area. The two shells landed in open areas causing neither injuries nor damage were reported.

During the month of February Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip killed seven Palestinians and left 46 injured, The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported last week.
