Local sources said that home invasions near Hebron ended with the arrests of 20-year-old Suleiman al-Fakhouri and his 23-year-old brother Majed, as well as Mahmoud Abu Ramouz, 14, and Wisam Abu Ramouz, 15. The raid took place in a building housing 12 families near a local hospital northwest of Hebron. Residents were taken from their beds and made to stand outside while Israeli soldiers searched their belongings.

Raids occurred in the nearby villages of Halhoul, Beit Omar, Beit Uwa, Deir Samat, Beni Naim, Samu’a, and al-Fawar refugee camp.

Two Beit Omar residents, Ayman Saleh Sabarneh and Muhammad Ali al-Alama, were presented with demolition orders for their homes because “security needs, as they lie too close to Bypass Road 60.” Israeli bypass roads are used exclusively by illegal Jewish settlers in the West Bank and permitted Palestinians.

In the southern Gaza Strip city of Rafah, medical sources said that 18-year-old Abdulaziz Sabah, of Deir Balah in the central Gaza Strip, had died in an accident in a tunnel. He was confirmed dead at the Abu Yusef al-Najar Hospital in Rafah, but sources could not explain how.

This is the second death in the past week in the Gaza Strip tunnels, which became key channels of food and construction materials during the Israeli siege of the territory, imposed in 2007. Since Egypt has reopened its end of the Strip at the Rafah Crossing, material goods are expected to flow more freely.
