GAZA, (PIC)– The Gaza Health Ministry represented by International Cooperation Director-General Dr. Mohammed al-Kashif convened a meeting with a delegation from the UN children’s fund (UNICEF) headed by Diane Araki and Dr. Younis Awadallah. The UNICEF delegation briefed its proposed plan for 2011-2012 focusing on projects concerning breastfeeding, home-visits to mothers after childbirth and child vaccination. Kashif welcomed the delegation and lauded the UN fund for the health care it has provided to the Palestinian territories. He also called for more future cooperation Kashif has also held another meeting with the Norwegian committee to aid the Palestinians. Separately, the Gaza Health Ministry has marked National Kidney Day announcing the depletion of 25 medicines affecting the lives of 377 Gazans suffering kidney failure. |
