OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) decided to ban Sheikh Najeh Bakirat, the head of the manuscripts bureau at the Aqsa Mosque, as of Tuesday from entering his office for three months.

Sheikh Bakirat said he would not comply with this arbitrary decision and would keep his efforts to defend the Aqsa Mosque.

He noted that the general commander of the Israeli army in occupied Jerusalem was the one who issued this decision against him at the pretext he poses a threat to Israel’s security.

The Palestinian official described the ban decision as a dangerous precedent, affirming he consulted a number of lawyers in order to face the decision.

Bakirat’s office is located inside the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards and he is known for his role in exposing Israel’s Judaization schemes in the Palestinian holy city of Jerusalem.
