Settler Opens Fire At Palestinian Vehicle Near Hebron

Palestinian sources reported Tuesday that an armed Israeli settler opened fire at a Palestinian vehicle driving near the entrance of Bani Neim town, south of Hebron, in the southern part of the West Bank. Settlers also attacked a vehicle east of Hebron.

Mohammad Al Najjar, from Yatta city near Hebron, told the Maan News Agency said that as he was driving near Bani Neim, a settler vehicle bypassed him before an armed settler opened fire at him. The driver was unharmed while a number of bullets struck the vehicle and its tires.

Al Najjar added that the Israeli police at the Keryat Arba’ settlement, in Hebron, questioned him regarding the incident, and took him to the attack site as part of an investigation initiated into the issue. No arrests were made.

In related news, a number of settlers attacked a Palestinian vehicle east of Hebron, leading to damages.

Resident Sultan Sharif said that the settlers hurled stones at his front windshield completely smashing it.

He added that the settlers first ordered him to stop while pointing their guns at him, and then hurled stones at his vehicle.

In Beit Ummar town near Hebron, Israeli soldiers kidnapped Waheeb Abu Mrayya, 19, after he tried to stop the soldiers as they were beating his grandmother after breaking into her home.
