Scotland protests in solidarity with Palestinians

March 19, 2011

BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) — Dozens of Scots and Arabs chanted slogans about ending division Thursday in Glasgow in solidarity with Palestinians in Manara and Katiba squares.

The protests were in George Square in Glasgow to announce their solidarity with the demand of Palestinians to end of division and restore the national unity of Palestine.

They called on the Palestinian people to put aside their differences and unite in order to end the occupation and establish a Palestinian state. They held Palestinian flags and hoped that the Palestinians would achieve their goal in restoring national unity.

Glasgow’s many solidarity groups have launched campaigns to boycott Israeli settlement goods.
