Wadi Samra lies close to the village of Wadi al-Malih. Mahdi al-Amer, Abed Awad and Faouzi Daraghma, lived in Wadi Smra with their families for the post 10 years.

Aref Daraghmeh, head of the Wadi al-Malih village council, said that the army is escalating its efforts to remove Palestinians from this part of the Jordan Valley.

Last Friday Israeli troops forcibly evicted a Palestinian family from their tent in the Ein al-Helwa region in the northern Jordan Valley, making room for a tent set up by illegal Jewish settlers.

Last week’s confrontation began on Wednesday, when 25 armed settlers set up a tent next to a tent owned by the Daraghmeh family for 15 years, on land owned by the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem. On Friday, eyewitnesses said Israeli troops surrounded the Daraghmeh tent and forced out its inhabitants.
