GAZA, (PIC)– Minister of Health in Gaza Dr. Basem Naim discussed on Sunday with representatives of international agencies in the Strip the impact of the Israeli aggression and siege on the health sector.

He warned of the repercussions of the Israeli military escalation in light of the acute shortage in medicine and medical consumables in Gaza hospitals, adding that 150 types of those were out of stock especially those needed in surgeries and anesthesia.

Naim said that his ministry called for this meeting due to the preoccupation of the Arab World with internal changes and the absence of the Palestinian question and Gaza Strip from the media. He asked for the world’s intervention to curb the Israeli military escalation against Gaza.

At the end of the meeting a copy of the ministry’s’ needs was given to all agencies attending the meeting with the hope that they would be urgently provided.

“We ask, how many more dead corpses of Palestinian children and women does the international community need to see in order to act?”
