GAZA, (PIC)– Minister of tourism in Gaza Dr. Mohammed Ramadan Al-Agha has denounced the Israeli occupation authority’s new plan of changing historical landmarks in occupied Jerusalem.

He described the new IOA plan in a statement on Tuesday as an unprecedented step in the history of Jerusalem and its landmarks.

The minister said that thousands of Islamic and Christian shrines and landmarks would be looted and forged under the guise of maintaining relics in the occupied holy city.

He said that the IOA exploited the world’s preoccupation with regional events to escalate its Judaization attempts in the holy city, and called on the media to shed light on those violations.

The ministry of Awkaf and religious affairs in Gaza also condemned the IOA scheme to change the names of 6,000 Islamic and Christian landmarks in Jerusalem, adding that it was a blatant attempt to forge history and Judaize the holy city.

It warned that the project would change all of the city’s cultural and religious landmarks and turn it into a city with Jewish features.
