Israel Isolates Palestinian Demanding to be Treated as ‘Prisoner of War’

RAMALLAH, April 21, 2011 (WAFA) – Ministry of Detainees and Ex-detainees’ Affairs Thursday said in press release, that Nafha prison administration isolated a Palestinian prisoner in solitary confinement after he demanded to be treated as a ‘prisoner of war’.

Mohammad al-Hattab, who was arrested in 2003, announced his complete refusal to be dealt with except as a ‘prisoner of war’ and refused to submit to Israeli prison’s laws.

He demanded to be dealt with in accordance to United Nations resolutions, the third and fourth Geneva Conventions and international laws.

Nafha prison administration punished al-Hattab and isolated him in solitary confinement cells, the release said.
