RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Palestinian prisoner society appealed to international human rights organizations, especially the Red Cross to immediately intervene to save the lives of dozens of Palestinian patients imprisoned in Israeli jails.

Head of the society Ragheb Abu Diyak in a press release on Monday said the international human rights organizations are demanded to help Palestinian and Arab patients in prison avoid what happened to Syrian prisoner Saytan Al-Wali who died a few days ago as a result of the medical neglect policy that was pursed against him for 23 years in Israeli jails.

Abu Diyak emphasized that the medical neglect policy pursued by Israel against Palestinian and Arab prisoners in its jails claimed the lives of hundreds over the past years.

Head of the society stated 200 Palestinian prisoners have died as a result of this policy either in or outside jails and more than 160 patients suffering from chronic diseases or disabilities ate still in detention.
