Israeli Troops Attack West Bank Communities and Arrest Six Men

Ramallah – PNN – Six Palestinian men were arrested on Wednesday morning by Israeli troops during military invasions targeting West Bank communities.



Palestinian security sources reported invasions in Bethlehem and Hebron, in southern West Bank as well as Ramallah, in central West Bank and Salfit and Nablus in the north.

Among those arrested by the military on Wednesday was Mohamed Muslamani, 37. He was arrested after troops searched and ransacked his father’s home. The Israeli army released Muslamani seven months ago after detaining him for 18 years for his political activism.

In Awarta village near Nablus the Israeli army searched and ransacked the homes of Hakiem and Amjad Awwad, the two teenagers Israel accuse of last month killing of five settlers in the nearby Itamar illegal settlement .

Villagers said that troops fired rounds into people homes and ransacked belongings during the morning attack.  Awarta was the target of daily invasions and arrests after the Itamar killings. During a month of raids troops arrested about 300 men, women and children from the village; the army still detain 20 men from Awarta.
