“The Palestinian Authority must choose either peace with Israel or peace with Hamas. There is no possibility for peace with both. Hamas aspires to destroy Israel and fires rockets at our cities … at our children,” Netanyahu said in a statement published by the Israeli online Haaretz.

Netanyahu, from the right wing Likud Party, went as far as saying that the Palestinian reconciliation deal is a singe of weakness of the Palestinian Authority adding that “makes one wonder whether Hamas will seize control of Judea and Samaria the way it seized control of the Gaza Strip,” using what Israeli settlers call Judea and Samaria for the West Bank.

The Palestinian-Israeli talks reached a dead-end two weeks after Washington jumped started it last September because Israeli refused to stop construction in West Bank settlements which is illegal under international law.
