Negev prison detainees show support for unity

April 29, 2011

RAMALLAH (Ma’an) — Palestinian political party representatives imprisoned in an Israeli jail met Thursday to discuss the reconciliation agreement agreed in Cairo by rival factions Wednesday.

Elected members of the Palestinian Legislative Council in the Negev prison gathered to discuss the deal, and sent their regards to Palestinian leaders, the Palestinian nation, and the Egyptian leadership who had helped finalize the deal, the Palestinian detainees center said.

The center said that the imprisoned deputies “showed great encouragement for unity.”
