RAMALLAH, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) has rounded up seven Palestinian men and at least one child during turbulence affecting several cities in the West Bank.

The seven men were taken Thursday morning during an IOF arrest campaign that was most concentrated in Ramallah, Jenin, Nablus, and Al-Khalil, the IOF spokesman told Israeli Radio.

The fresh campaign comes as part of a series of daily arrest campaigns by the IOF in the West Bank aimed at arresting Palestinians suspected of resisting the Israeli occupation.

Earlier, IOF soldiers abducted a Palestinian boy as violent clashes broke out in Bir Ayyub in Jerusalem’s Silwan district south of the Aqsa Mosque on Wednesday night.

Locals said the child was taken near the Wadi al-Rababa intersection in Silwan.

Separately, Israeli courts ruled for the release of three other Jerusalem men to be placed on house arrest after signing to pay bail of NIS 5,000.
