WEST BANK, (PIC)– The Israeli occupation forces heavily targeted civilians in the West Bank following Nakba Day protests on Monday, arresting eleven ”wanted” persons, among them three minors.

A day earlier, IOF soldiers fired tear gas at a girls elementary school in Beit Ummar north of Al-Khalil, severely affecting two teachers and several school girls.

Six Palestinians, including a minor, were rounded up in Al-Khadir in Bethlehem province after three Molotov cocktails were reportedly hurled at a tunnel checkpoint near the village.

The IOF also nabbed a prominent news reporter and two minors in Al-Khalil province as well as two more civilians in Salfit for allegedly being wanted.

On Monday, two teachers and several school girls were taken by ambulance to the hospital after sustaining severe breathing difficulties as gas fired by IOF soldiers clouded their elementary school in Beit Ummar during school hours.

Witnesses said IOF soldiers launched gas canisters at the school, breaking windows and sabotaging water tanks and other school property after shooting live ammunition
