Obama appeals to Zionists for reelection

In an attempt aimed at receiving the popular support of the Jews and Zionists for his 2012 electoral campaign, US President Barack Obama has decided to deliver a speech at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s annual policy conference next Sunday.

According to a statement released by the White House spokesman Jay Carney, Barack Obama is slated to deliver a keynote speech during the conference in which he will focus on the importance and vitality of the Israeli-American relations and the ways to strengthen the mutual ties.

Carney announced that the address would “stress the importance of the US-Israeli relationship,” but would not be “a major policy speech.”

Carney added, “I think he looks forward to talking about the unshakeable bond between the Israelis and the Americans and the importance of that relationship.”

Ahead of the annual congress of AIPAC pro-Israeli lobby, President Obama is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, as well.

All of these events signify that the US President is experiencing a legitimacy crisis and what leads him to victory would be the support of Zionists and pro-Israeli decision makers at the top of the hierarchy of the US power.

The decision of US President Barack Obama to address the AIPAC congress seems to be in line with his latest efforts to secure a second term of presidency in the next year’s upcoming presidential elections.

Obama who once again attracted the international attentions with the announcement of the death of Osama bin Laden on May 2 is trying to make sure that he will win the upcoming US presidential elections on November 6, 2012. Political commentators such as Gordon Duff who believe that Osama bin Laden had died several years ago state that the overnight announcement of the killing of bin Laden by the American military forces was simply a commercial instrument for President Obama to build up his already dwindled popularity and appease the pains of those whose dears were victimized in the 9/11 attacks; however, it should not be neglected that there are several high-ranking political scientists, researchers and journalists such as Mark Weber, Kevin Barret, Paul Craig Roberts and Christopher Bollyn who radically believe the 9/11 attacks were either an inside job by the CIA and FBI or a false flag operation by Israel’s Mossad.

President Obama’s failures in domestic affairs and foreign policy have dramatically decreased his popularity among the American citizens and there’s a great possibility that he may lose the next year’s elections calamitously.

The recent statistics and polls indicate that Obama’s popularity has been constantly on decline since he took office in 2008. According to Rasmussen Report’s public opinion data collection center, some 50% of the American citizens totally disapprove of President Obama’s performance while the same figure was 30% in January 2009.

According to the Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday, only a minority of 27% of the America’s voters strongly approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president.

As reported by the Business Insider website, President Obama made several promises during his presidential campaign in 2008 but failed to fulfill almost all of them and this made him an almost unpopular leader, even despite the fact that he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize 2009 and was advocated to be the nation’s first black president and a real man of change who wants to implement drastic and essential transformations in the way the country is handled.

Obama’s failure in rapprochement with the countries with which the United States was hostilely at odds was among the disappointing points of his record. On July 27, 2007, when he was asked if he’d be “willing to meet separately, without precondition” with the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and North Korea, Obama replied, “I would.”
However, Obama kept up with its aggressive policies toward these countries and failed in his proclaimed policy of détente and reconciliation with them.

The people of the United States who had been exhausted of the aggressive policies of the former hawkish President George W. Bush and sought peace and tranquility soon realized that their efforts in bringing to power someone who seemed to be a different politician were in vain and that the long-term policies of the United States would not change by changing the person in authority.

Many American citizens are today disappointed with the performance of Barack Obama and his domestic and foreign policies. Obama’s failure in closing the Guantanamo bay prison, coming closer to the Muslim world, helping to terminate the illegal Israeli settlements on the Palestinian lands, putting an end to the unauthorized drone attacks on Afghanistan and Pakistan, and massacring the innocent civilians there, implementing the healthcare reform plans, realizing the Coal-to-Liquid Fuel Promotion Act and reducing the income taxes for the retirees who make less than $50,000 per year are simply a few examples of the misfortunes of the Obama administration.

Now Obama who has been fighting for securing a second term as the US President since the very beginning of his entrance in the Oval Office eyes the support and backing of the Zionist lobby which predominantly controls the Congress, media conglomerates and financial corporations in the country.

Addressing the AIPAC congress in the upcoming Sunday and appealing to the pro-Zionist activists seems to be an integral part of President Obama’s efforts to become the President of the United States once again.

The American Zionists are well aware of the fact that President Obama is immensely afraid of them and counts on their help with his reelection.

In the wake of growing international anger and hatred at the atrocities of the Israeli regime, especially the massacre of Nakba Day protesters in West Bank and Golan Heights, Obama’s decision to address the upcoming AIPAC congress seems to be an outrageous and shameful one.

Although it seems that appealing to Zionists and seeking their help is the only option which remains for Obama to win a second term of presidency. The international community will never forget that this man is the same Obama who promoted himself as the man of change and pledged that he will be different from his warmongering predecessor. One thing is for sure and that is Obama will not be forgiven by the independent nations of the world for his shameful alliance with Israel and his role in the continued suffering of the Palestinian nation. Obama wants to win the 2012 elections at the cost of the incessant killing of Palestinian women and children, and nothing can be more disgraceful than this.
