JEDDAH, (PIC)– The Organization of Islamic Conference has called on the Egyptian authorities to open the Rafah border terminal with the Gaza Strip before movement of goods.

The call came in the monthly report for April issued by the OIC humanitarian affairs department, part of which was allocated for the conditions in the Strip.

It noted that 98% of the overall installations in the industrial sector in Gaza closed due to the siege, dramatically deteriorating the economic and social conditions of the inhabitants.

The report said that all developmental projects in the Strip’s construction sector came to a standstill since the siege was imposed almost five years ago.
