Negev prison claims discovering a smuggling attempt of mobile phones

RAMALLAH. (PIC)– Zionist security sources claimed that the Negev prison administration discovered 50 mobile phones intended for Palestinian captives in the prison.

According to Maarive newspaper, the sources claimed that the phones were hidden inside food cans of stuffed vine leaves and fava beans and that the phones were discovered in the delivery van at the prison gates.

The occupation authorities claimed that a Palestinian organisation with the help from some people in the Negev stand behind the smuggling attempt.

Four people are suspected of the smuggling attempt; a green grocers from Yardakhim in south Palestine, the driver of the van, the canteen manager and a fourth person.

According to the paper the four suspected people have received thousands of Shekels from a Palestinian organisation that financed the mobile phone shipment.

The four have been arrested by the police in Dimona and were charged with “affiliation to a terrorist organisation and smuggling mobile phones to prisoners”.

The paper also reported that the four have denied all charges and denied any knowledge of the smuggling attempt.
